Exploring Your Sacral Chakra

Are you confident about your self image?

What is attractive to you?

How attractive do you feel?

Those are just some of self inquiry questions to assess your second chakra.
Here's an in-depth look about the second chakra commonly known as SACRAL CHAKRA.

Sacral Chakra Meaning

Our Sacral Chakra is the source of our feelings.

It stands for the flow of the creative life force through us.

It is the centre of pleasure, enjoyment and passion.

It allows us to deeply and intensely experience life as the movement of energy in us in the form of sensation, emotion and sensuality.

The Sacral Chakra is also the seat of passion in general.

One of the strongest forces in us, that can be difficult to tame.

Thus it is also considered to be at the root of unconscious desires as an overflow of passion that can transform into desires, addictions and obsessions.

Finding the right middle-point between a joyful flow of passion and healthy  restriction is the right measure our second chakra seeks.

The sacral chakra helps cultivate flexibility and adaptability.

This empowers you to move on, accept change, and transform.

When balanced, the sacral chakra allows you to be passionate, creative, and sensual while connecting with your feelings and emotions.

Location in the Body

Located in the lower abdomen below the navel, the sacral chakra or Svadhisthana is the second in your seven chakras.

Earth Element

The Sacral Chakra is associated with the water element as the second Chakra governs and regulates the flow of energy in and through us.

Sacral Chakra Color

ORANGE governs the SACRAL chakra situated in the lower abdomen.

The orange of the sacral chakra is translucent with a transparent quality.

Orange is the color of success and relates to self-respect.

Having the ability to give ourselves the freedom to be ourselves and helps you expand your interests and activities.

Sacral Chakra Symbol

The symbol of the sacral chakra is composed of a circle with six petals and a moon crescent.

The circle symbolizes the element of water.

The moon crescent is silver-colored and represents the link between the energy of the moon and water.

These symbols point to the tight relationship between the moon phases and the fluctuations with the emotions and with the water.

The moon symbolism also resonates with the feminine menstrual cycle that has the same number of days to complete, and the sacral chakra’s connection with reproduction and the sexual organs.

When the sacral chakra is blocked, you can become overly emotional, uncertain, insecure, and unable to cope with the changes in your life.

 IS YOUR SACRAL CHAKRA BALANCED?

The unbalanced Sacral Chakra is an intense decrease of a person’s interest in life – a ‘drying out’ of joy, passion enthusiasm and deep feeling.

A blockage in the second chakra can cause both physical and emotional distress if not healed.

Chakra balancing can be healed along by a healer, but there are many things you can do on your own as well.
