Reiki | The Art of Japanese Energetic Healing

Reiki is becoming more and more common, which I think is absolutely amazing.

It is an incredible healing art that takes dedication, patience, and intuition to learn and practice.

Although it is becoming more popular, not many people actually know what Reiki is or what a practitioner does.

What is Reiki?

By definition, Reiki is a Japanese healing technique for relaxation and stress reduction that in turn encourages healing. It is administered through the practitioner's hands, where a life force invisible on this plane flows through into the receiver.

The word itself is comprised of two Japanese words:

Rei = "God's Wisdom, or the Higher Power"
Ki = "Life Force Energy"

Put this together, Reiki translates to "Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy".

What Does Reiki Feel Like?

After receiving a full treatment, people feel a brilliant aura of positive energy that flows through and around them.

This is due to the fact that Reiki heals on all levels; body, emotions, mind, and spirit.

The deep healing felt on all of these levels is what brings this almost overwhelming feeling of peace, prosperity, and abundance.

Who Can Become a Reiki Practitioner?

Absolutely anyone. Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe way to heal people that is also easy to learn and distribute.

Hundreds of thousands of people from all kinds of backgrounds have become a Reiki practitioner; its use is not dependent on intelligence. It is something you feel.

Feeling is understanding.

Reiki is not something that can be summed up in a blog post; its influence and power is something that must be learned from a master in person.

There are always Reiki trainings happening, especially if you live in a city, so keep your eyes and ears open.

If an opportunity comes to learn, do not let is slip past.
